It is advised to fully charge your device and connect it to a high-speed internet connection (wifi network) as the update may take an hour to complete. You can also plug in your device to a battery source to prevent draining of the battery during the update process. Open the ‘settings’ on your phone, click on ‘general’ and check for any existing ‘software update’. If there is one, click on ‘download and install’ and make sure that your device is connected to the internet, preferably high-speed connection. When the download is completed, your device will automatically install the updates. The process may take a while, so make sure to do it in spare time.
